Consejo Village

Consejo is a great place for travelers to get "off the beaten path."

Located on the northern tip of Belize on the Bay of Chetumal, seven miles north of Corozal Town, sits Consejo Shores, home to many retirees.  It is comprised of Consejo Shores, a retirement community for locals and expatriates, several hotels and the fishing village of Consejo.

The village itself has a rich Maya history with two unexcavated Maya sites within a mile of the main village.

Visitor Experience

The seafront parks sloping into shallow sandy waters are ideal swimming grounds for small children and the inexperienced swimmer.

Visitors can also enjoy fishing, sailing, kayaking and other water sports. Nature abounds here with many species of tropical birds, orchids, and other marine vegetation along the shoreline.
