Seine Bight Flyer 2012

Only a community of nearly 3,000 residents Seine Bight Village, Stann Creek District, has all the right components: culture, cuisines, and a remote location, for a memorable “15th Annual Seine Bight Day”.  During Friday, August 17th – 19th, visitors can explore this unfamiliar region, while enjoying and partaking in the festivities.

History:

This designated day of fun-filled activities, cuisines, and cultural performances, first began decades ago under the title “Village Life” as an outlet for community-based recreation and fun. Seine Bight Village is a unique community of Garifuna, Mestizo and Chinese cultures that continues to grow into a leisure choice for travelers. Since the days of “Village Life”, commercial demands has since led the small community to hosting a “Seine Bight’s Day” for visitors both locally and internationally.

Family and friends will attest to the tranquil environment of Seine Bight Village and the unique activities, such as: coconut husking contest, Hudut and hotdog eating contest, Punta dancing contest, Jankunu contest, battle of the drums, and much more!

In a close-knit community, such as Seine Bight Village, expect flavorful cuisines of all kinds and friendly faces. Visitors will also be entertained through live musical performances by: Titiman, Taprick, Reckless and Mohobub-guest Disc Jockeys (DJs) from Stann Creek will also keep audiences entertained.

Make it a date with Seine Bight! We will see you there!
