Kite Festival-A Sight to Behold

Witness the airborne battle among kite, man and the windy Caribbean breeze! Come and find delight in the array of activities available only at this year’s “3rd Annual Kite Festival” on March 10th, 2013.  Observe the blue sky, colorfully decorated, as kites of all shapes and sizes dance to the flow of the winds, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on the Marine Parade, located behind the Central Bank.

Kite flying has been a local tradition passed on from generation to generation, and a great hobby for most.  This is an event for the entire family! This year’s Kite Festival will feature adult and children competitions, including a free kite making session-open to all ages!

There is no better time to get acquainted with fun Belizean-customs, than at this year’s Kite Festival; indulge in the foods, and beverages, and meet new and friendly faces.

Competitions:

Junior Kite Makers: Best Moonie, Best Singer, Best Starry, Most Creative, Best Ben the Builder. Senior Kite Makers: Best Moonie, Best Singer, Best Starry, and Best Box.
