Midas Resort

Midas Resort is only a 7 minute walk from San Ignacio Town Centre where you will find the Market Place, Restaurants and Bars. Cahal Pech Mayan Temple is a 4 minute Taxi ride away from the Midas and is one of the oldest Mayan sites in Central America. The name Midas came from one of the son's name Michael and his grandfather’s name Daniel and his surname Silva.
Since 2007 when the oldest son took over management of the hotel, Midas went through some vast changes from 16 rooms to 29 adding a swimming pool and improving the existing rooms that are on the property and every year there is always a good improvement to the property.
We have a mixture of rooms on our 7 acre property that ends on the Macal River. Our oldest Rooms are the Cottages which are round concrete huts with air conditioning hot & cold water and private bathroom which were last renovated in 2014.
Our Cabana are wooden square huts that were built by the Menonites in Spanish Lookout not too far from San Ignacio they sold us the shell and we added and are still adding our final touches to these cabanas all our cabins have air conditioning, private tiled bathroom, and some now have tiled floors and high ceilings which will be the final touches for all the cabanas.
The Deluxe rooms were personally designed by the oldest son and his mother from the furniture to the actual constructions these rooms are finished with style and you will have a choice of a Californian King or 2 Double beds with private bathrooms and 40 inch flat screen led Tv’s
