Visitor Fees
As in any other country, fees and taxes are required to support the development of our tourism product and to improve the services we offer to our visitors.
Below please find a list of fees which apply when entering or departing Belize. These are quoted in US$ but where stated, may also be paid in Belize dollars.
At the Northern, Western and Southern Borders, payment can be made in US or BZE $. At the International Airport, payment should be made in US dollars and is sometimes included in airfare tickets. Please check with your ticket agent to determine what is included. All fees apply to non-Belizean citizens.
Fee exemptions apply for children under 12; permanent residents of Belize and visitors from border towns staying for less than 24 hours.

- Overnight Passengers - Border Processing Fee $15.00 + Conservation Fee $3.75; Total Fee: $18.75
- Guatemalan and Mexican passengers: less than 24hrs. - NO FEE; more than 24hrs.: $3.75
- Mexicans staying more than 72hrs. $18.75
