Belize is divided into six political Districts: Corozal, Orangewalk, Belize, Cayo, Stann Creek and Toledo. Each one of these districts has elected officials which sit in the House of Representatives. Each District also has a major town, which is the center of government for that district.
Each of these districts has a unique personality and flavor. For example the Toledo District to the south is home to the largest concentration of Mayas in the country. Small Mayan villages dot the foothills of the Maya mountains. The Belize District is the center of commerce and also supports the largest number of people in the country. This district tour can be completed in about 15 to 25 minutes, though we hope you will linger longer and enjoy this beautiful country of Belize and then visit us and in person enjoy a real tour of our country..
