Coco Plum’s 5th Annual Belize Lobster Fest!

Free Loster Themed Events & Meals During July & August

Coco Plum Island Resort

During select dates in the months of July and August, our guests are invited to join us as we celebrate the opening of the lobster season in Belize with our annual festival held once a week on Wednesdays. Dates for 2020 are July 29, August 5, August 19 and August 26, 2020. Kick off your fall holiday season by joining us for a special celebration in Belize! Garifuna Settlement Day is a Belizean national holiday held on November 19th of each year. This day marks and celebrates the arrival of the Garifuna to Belize in the early 1800’s after being exiled from neighboring Caribbean islands. Regarded as a mixture of African slaves and Arawak Indians, the Garinagu people make up a large portion of Belize’s population, offering a uniquely rich culture that helps make Belize what is it today. Care to indulge in some delectable Garifuna dishes as you enjoy cooking lessons, live drumming and cultural dancing on your vacation?
