Each year at the Santa Rita Archaeological Site in Corozal Town, the Maya Wedding Re-enactment celebrates the historic union of Maya Princess Zazil Ha and Spanish sailor Gonzalo Guerrero. Their marriage in 1519 is remembered as the symbolic beginning of Belize`s Mestizo culture.

Set against the backdrop of ancient Maya temples, this vibrant event blends history, culture, music, and tradition into an unforgettable experience.
