Living Legends Concert Series

The Living Legends Concert Series is a recent addition to Belize’s September Celebrations. Introduced in 2022, the event commemorates Belizean musicians and their trailblazing careers which have shaped Belizean culture and inspired local and international audiences.

The inaugural concert honored Lord Rhaburn, affectionately known as Belize’s Calypso King. His recognition laid the foundation for the annual concert series, with the area behind Memorial Park unveiled as Lord Rhaburn Plaza. The plaza has since served as the official host location for the Living Legends Concert Series.

Since then, the series has celebrated iconic groups and performers such as Gilharry 7 in 2023, Chico Ramos in 2024, and now, Supa G in 2026. Each festivity brings Belizean artists together to perform a compilation of the honoree’s hit songs, paying tribute to their hard work, innovation, and lasting cultural impact.

The Living Legends Concert Series is a free concert! Visitors and locals can enjoy energetic live performances, making it another sought-after activity to attend during Belize’s September Celebrations. The concert typically takes place a day or two before the Anniversary of the Battle of St. George’s Caye on September 10.
