THE BIG ONES ARE ALWAYS BITING IN BELIZE
From spin to fly to trolling, our abundance of game fish guarantees excellent sport fishing all year round. Since many rivers empty into the Caribbean Sea, you’re practically guaranteed a daily catch, not to mention the fact that our guides have no problem sharing their own “secret” spots with guests.
Explore Turneffe Atoll, which provides you with some of the most desired areas in the world for fly-fishing. Bonefish, permit and tarpon are everywhere here. In fact, Belize is one of few places where you can fish a Grand Slam—bonefish, permit and tarpon all in the same day. How many times do you get to win a Grand Slam on a vacation?
*Did you know: If you are participating in any sport fishing activities in Belizean waters, whether catch and release or not, you are required to have a valid sport fishing license? Under the Coastal Zone Management Act (1998) and Sport Fishing Regulations (S.I. 115 of 2009), all anglers who are fishing for leisure or competition must have a valid sport fishing license issued by the Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute (CZMAI). For quick access to purchase a sport fishing license, visit CZMAI’s website at www.coastalzonebelize.org .
For more information or assistance, please contact CZMAI at email info@coastalzonebelize.org or telephone numbers 501-223-5739 or 501-233-0719.
