Belize Reef Week

With over 608,740 acres of preserve waters, inclusive of 13 marine protected zones and the thriving (185 mile-long) Mesoamerican Barrier Reef system, Belize celebrates “Reef Week 2015”!

During March 9th – 15th, join OCEANA in their week of fun and educational activities focused on the familiarity of the local and global importance of Belize’s marine system!

There’s a lot going on! From clean-up campaigns to familiarization trips, becoming one with our marine wonders will be an intimate adventure to behold!

As an important marine biodiversity wonder and an awarded “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO in 1996, Belize’s Mesoamerican Barrier Reef holds spectacular adventure opportunities for snorkelers and scuba divers! Other highlights include: “Kids Meet Sharks”, “Familiarization Tours”, and “Movie Night”.
