Resilience, community, and pure vibrant culture. 🖤🤍💛
The Garifuna people arrived on Belize shores in dugout canoes back in the early 1800s, bringing with them a rich language, deep rooted spiritual traditions, and an incredible spirit of survival.
Every year on November 19th, the whole country comes together for Garifuna Settlement Day to reenact that historic arrival, dance the Punta in the streets, and celebrate a culture that makes Belize so extraordinarily unique. #TravelBelize #Belize
