It’s also part of the South Water Caye Marine Reserve, an important protected area for Belize’s marine life and coral reefs.

Tucked away in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, Butterfly Falls is one of those Belize spots that feels like a little secret. Surrounded by lush forest, the waterfall drops into a cool natural pool that’s perfect for a refreshing swim after exploring the reserve.

Fun fact: Butterfly Falls gets its name from the butterflies often seen fluttering around the area. 🦋
