Worlds Leading Sustainable Destination

Lydia’s Guest House is owned and operated by Lydia Villanueva and family. She and her late Husband, Conrad Sr., established the guesthouse in 1989 delivering quality and traditional Belizean hospitality. Lydia’s Guesthouse provides a pleasurable, relaxing, and affordable stay for guests from all over the world. We believe in giving our guests good value for their money and offer them clean, comfortable, and safe accommodations at the north end of the Placencia sidewalk.

This excellent location means that restaurants, groceries, banks and the post office are just a few steps away, yet the surrounding neighborhood is quiet and the beach uncrowded.

Placencia’s beautiful crescent shaped white sand beach is a major draw to this pretty town at the tip of the peninsula and when you stay at Lydia’s Guesthouse the beach is at your doorstep.

The renovated Guest House is a two-story, twelve-room house with six private bedrooms and two shared bathrooms on each floor. These budget-friendly rooms are cozy and clean, and come complete with fans, shared refrigerator and free wireless internet. There is a kitchen, for guest use, equipped with purified water, a microwave, stove, utensils and refrigerator.

Lydia also has five fully furnished private cabins just behind the guest house for an extensive and more private stay.
