Belize Reef Week
Home to the second-largest barrier reef in the world, Belize celebrates Reef Week each year. Typically observed in early March and coordinated by various NGOs and agencies, the week features a range of fun and educational activities to raise awareness of the local and global importance of Belize’s marine ecosystem!
There’s plenty happening throughout the week! From clean-up campaigns to familiarization trips, there are meaningful, hands-on ways to connect with Belize’s marine wonders!
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, the Belize Barrier Reef is one of the world’s most important biodiversity treasures and offers spectacular adventure opportunities for snorkelers and scuba divers alike!
