Calling all foodies! Make your way to Taste of Belize, Belize’s highly anticipated culinary and bartending competition hosted by the Belize Tourism Board. The event brings together chefs, pastry chefs, bartenders, students, and food enthusiasts from across the country to celebrate Belizean flavors.

Witness several categories of live culinary and bartending competitions throughout the day with exciting elimination rounds. Mystery ingredients are revealed, challenging competitors to create delectable dishes and beverages that captivate the judges, with hopes of qualifying for the final round.

As the kitchen and bar intensify with competition, Taste of Belize becomes an entire gastronomical experience. Enjoy live cultural performances, audience engagement activities, giveaways, and network with culinary and hospitality professionals. You can also sign up for interactive masterclasses and workshops to enhance your culinary skills!

As the day draws to an end following the final competition, four winners are selected:

  • Master Chef of the Year
  • Junior Chef of the Year
  • Pastry Chef of the Year
  • Bartender of the Year

Belize at Taste of the Caribbean

Travel Belize

Winners walk away with fabulous prizes and a coveted spot on the national team for Taste of the Caribbean. It is the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s premier regional culinary competition, highlighting Caribbean culture in food and beverage. Team Belize delivered a stellar performance at Taste of the Caribbean in 2025 in Barbados. The team comprised:

  • Master Chef of the Year – Anderson Moralez
  • Junior Chef of the Year – Julianny Garcia
  • Pastry Chef of the Year – Kelcy Harris
  • Bartender of the Year – Nino Moreno

They returned home with the following accolades:

  • Overall team – Bronze
  • Senior Chef – Silver
  • Bartender – Silver
  • Pastry Chef – Bronze
  • Junior Chef – Bronze
  • Bartending – Spirit of the Competition Award

Taste of Belize 2026 will at the Saint Catherine Academy Mercy Auditorium on Saturday, 1 August, 2026, in Belize City. Taste of the Caribbean 2026 will return to Barbados!
